Margot Friedländer’s

Foundation Launch

Margot Friedländer is a public speaker, activist, and humanitarian — and the sole Holocaust survivor of her family. At 88 years, after more than six decades in exile in the US, she returned to Berlin.

She came back, in her words, “to lend us her hand.” And with that gesture, she offered something even more powerful: a message shaped by unimaginable loss and enduring hope.

As one of the last living witnesses of the Holocaust, her words ring with clarity and urgency, especially now, as we witness new cycles of violence, division, and dehumanization:

“There is no Christian, no Muslim, no Jewish blood. There is only human blood. Be human. We are all the same.”

In 2024, at the age of 102, Frau Friedländer has launched her own foundation, that will award the Margot Friedländer Prize: Intended for individuals who stand up for humanity. In particular, she wants to honor those, who champion tolerance and fight any form of anti-democracy, anti-semitism, and any forms of xenophobia.

For the launch of this remarkable foundation, we created a short film.

Please watch it below.
